Viacom’s rights will be effective from the three-match series against Australia starting on 22 September and will run till 31 March 2028. India will play 88 international matches in all three formats in the next five years. These include 25 Tests, 27 ODIs and 36 T20 International matches. As per the new agreement, BCCI will get around Rs 67.76 crore for each match. This is about 7.76 crores more than the Rs 60 crores per match of the previous cycle. The BCCI, however, will get Rs 175 crore less than in the previous cycle. In the last cycle, 102 matches were played and BCCI got a total of Rs 6138 crore.
