Budhmu (Ranchi), Kalicharan Sahu: Ranchi Police (Budhmu and Thakurgaon Police and Special QRT) got success against Naxalites on Tuesday. TSPC member Dileshwar Ganjhu (25 years) has been arrested from Mecca Seram forest of Budhmu block of Ranchi. Police is interrogating him. Police also recovered a bike during the operation. However, Commander Rahul Ganjhu escaped along with one of his associates. After the arrest, the police is conducting a search operation in the surrounding forests.

Ranchi’s Budhmu and Thakurgaon police and Special QRT arrested a member of Rahul Ganjhu’s squad of TPC on Tuesday afternoon. Based on secret information, a special operation was conducted in the Maize Serum forest. Meanwhile, three militants riding on a blue Apache bike were signaled to stop. As soon as they saw the police, the militants left their bike and started running towards the forest. While chasing them away, one militant was caught by the police, while Commander Rahul Ganjhu alias Pradhan ji alias Khalil ji managed to escape along with one of his companions. The police is interrogating the arrested terrorist. The bike recovered from the spot is being reported as stolen.
Rahul Ganjhu became a challenge for the police
In recent times, TSPC Commander Rahul Ganjhu has become a challenge for the police. Apart from Budhmu area, he threatens contractors and businessmen on phone in Ratu, Ranchi, Kanke, Khalari areas and keeps spreading terror by openly waving weapons. On February 17, Rahul along with his associates had carried out an incident of assault and firing in Budhmu market in broad daylight.

Police force personnel including DSP Ramnarayan Choudhary, Budhmu SHO Ramji Kumar, Thakurgaon SHO Vineet Kumar, Praveen Tiwari of Special QRT were involved in the operation conducted against Naxalites.
