Haier TH27U1 Robot Vacuum Cleaner Review: What’s in the box- In its box, you will get two mopping cloths including a vacuum cleaner, dust collector, water tank attachment, charging dock, cable, remote and two AAA batteries. We used it for a week, now we know everything about it.
Design: The Haier Robot Vacuum Cleaner came to us in Silver colour. Its material is very good. Also it is quite heavy as well. Dust can accumulate on it, but it definitely gets cleaned easily. Its design is similar to other robot vacuum cleaners in the market. All the sensors are given in its bottom and front. There are charging sensors at the bottom which can be charged by placing them on the charging dock. When it is charged, the LED light above it lights up. It shows the charging status. The best part is that the device itself informs when it is charging and when it is done. Switching between mopping, cleaning and other modes is easy. There is a button on the top of the vacuum cleaner which when pressed turns it on. Overall, the design of this robot vacuum cleaner is quite decent and easy to use.
How to setup: It is very easy to setup. After installing all the attachments, a button has been given at the top of it which is the power button. Pressing it turns it on. Pressing twice turns on connectivity. After this it can be connected to the phone. Follow the instruction given in the app and connect the device. The name of the vacuum cleaner appears in the app, click on it. Then the name of your home Wi-Fi will appear on the screen. Password has to be entered here. Then the app will search for the vacuum cleaner and connect the device to the network.
Once this is done the device will connect and then you will be asked to select the location. It will have living room, bedroom, kitchen, washing room, balcony etc. You can use any of these. Then click on Use Immediately given below. After this a screen will appear. It will contain information about temperature and humidity. Then a screen will appear. In this, the option of recharge and start cleaning would have been given. Tap on Start Cleaning. Then choose from the options below and start cleaning the house.
Remote is also given with it. There are many buttons in it. With which you can also change the modes. Also the vacuum cleaner can be moved back and forth. It was a bit difficult to use it from the remote. But it was very easy to use it through the app.
How is the performance:
It cleaned the house for about a week. It very easily removes dirt from the corner of the house. Cleans the floor well. Yes, there have been times when a little bit of dust or a small piece of paper is left lying on the floor but this can be ignored. It comfortably takes about half an hour to clean a room thoroughly. Once this gives the room clean then the mopping process has to be started. In terms of cleanliness, there was no complaint with this vacuum cleaner. Manually attaching and detaching its attachments can be difficult if you clean the house on a daily basis. The company says that it detects Edges. In our case this claim proved to be absolutely correct. It has Wi-Fi connectivity. Also, the option of Google Assistant and Alexa is also available.
Accessories: It has a dust bin which collects all the dust while cleaning. It can be easily removed. However, cleaning this bin properly can be a big task at times. Apart from this, a separate attachment has been given for water. It has to be taken out and water is poured into it. Detaching these two is easy. Along with this, two mopping cloths are provided which are placed on the bottom side of the vacuum cleaner and mopping is done by this. In which water is filled, if water remains in it and you forget it by mistake, then it leaks completely. Same happened in my case.
Battery:
It takes about 4 to 5 hours to fully charge. It can easily clean a large room on a single charge. After this the battery remains only about 20 percent. If your house is of average size then it will have to charge twice to get the whole house done in one go. On the other hand, if the house is big then its battery backup will disappoint.
Our Verdict:
Coming for less than Rs 15,000, this Haier TH27U1 vacuum cleaner can prove to be a good option. It cleans the corners of the house very well. Mopping and cleaning is better but the battery could have been more powerful. It would have been better if the whole house was cleaned in one charge. If the battery is not a bother to you, then this can be kept in your bucket list.
