San Francisco. Google has announced translation integration within the Gmail mobile app.
“Starting today, we’re pleased to announce a native translation integration within the Gmail mobile app. This will enable you to communicate seamlessly in a variety of languages,” the tech giant said in a Workspace Updates blogpost on Tuesday.
He said that there were a lot of requests for this feature. It will help users to read and understand conversations in any language. To translate messages on mobile, users just need to select the “Translate” option on the banner and choose their preferred language.
“This banner appears when a message’s content language differs from the ‘google.com mail display language’ set in your account settings,” Google explained.
Users can also choose whether Gmail should always translate specific languages or never translate specific languages. Also, the feature doesn’t have admin controls.
