OpenAI disables Browse with Bing beta feature in ChatGPT

San Francisco. OpenAI has disabled the Browse with Bing beta feature in ChatGPT, which was available to Plus subscribers.
This feature allowed ChatGPT to search the Internet to help answer questions.
The company said in a post, “We’ve noticed that ChatGPT Browse Beta sometimes causes content to be displayed in ways we don’t want. For example, if a user specifically asks for the full text of a URL, So he fulfills this request.
“As of July 3, 2023, we’ve out of an abundance of caution disabled the Browse With Bing beta feature while we get it fixed by content owners to make it right.”
The company further informed that it is working on bringing back the beta feature as soon as possible. In May this year, Microsoft announced the integration of Bing Search into OpenAI’s ChatGPT to provide more relevant and potentially innovative responses.
It states that Bing will serve as the “default search experience” and will soon be available to free users by enabling a plugin that brings Bing to ChatGPT.
