This is the reason why the number of orders pending with the company is not showing any signs of decreasing. The situation is that in this festive season a lot of craze was seen among the people towards Mahindra Scorpio, Thar and XUV700. Especially, during Diwali, many people have booked these SUV cars.
Highest order pending for Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N
Media reports say that Mahindra & Mahindra has the highest number of pending orders for Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N. Including these two, the company has more than 1.19 lakh orders pending. At the same time, Rs 76,000 of Mahindra Thar is pending. XUV700 comes at third place. It has been said in the report that more than 70,000 orders are pending. Apart from this, about 11,000 bookings are pending for Bolero SUV, which is among the company’s top selling cars. At the same time, more than 10,000 orders for XUV300 and XUV400 are pending. The company has also increased the production at its plant to fulfill the pending orders of these vehicles.
Cars got a boost in the festive season
The report also said that sales of Mahindra & Mahindra cars have got a boost during the festive season. If we assess the sales of the company’s cars in the month of October, an increase of about 32 percent was recorded in the sales of its cars this month. During this period, the company sold about 80,679 units of various models of its cars. However, in October 2022 this figure was limited to 61,114 units. At the same time, if we talk about the sales of its SUV cars, then their supply increased by about 36 percent on annual basis. The company sold about 43,708 units of SUV cars in October 2023. However, in October 2023 this figure was 32,226 units.
Mahindra’s market share increased in SUV segment
On the other hand, there is also news that the market share of Mahindra & Mahindra in the SUV segment has also increased by about 19.9 percent. Mahindra & Mahindra says that the company is confident of maintaining revenue leadership in the SUV sector. To maintain interest in its product lineup, the company is preparing to launch an updated model of XUV400 with better interiors. Apart from this, the company may launch its first model under its EV plans on the Inglo platform in December 2024.
