People of Delhi get relief from rain during Navratri, air quality ‘moderate’

A unique initiative has been started by the Transport Department to reduce air pollution in Delhi. For this, as a pilot project, it has installed CCTV cameras at four petrol pumps, which capture the images of vehicles spewing smoke and in the blink of an eye people are issued challans.

According to the air quality early warning system for Delhi, Delhi’s AQI may drop to ‘poor’ category by Thursday. An official said that the surface wind in Delhi is likely to come mainly from the north-west direction and the wind speed can be 08-16 km per hour. India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the minimum temperature recorded at Safdarjung Observatory was 17.3 degrees Celsius. This is one degree less than normal. The maximum temperature on Wednesday is expected to be around 26.2 degrees Celsius.
The sky will be clear during the day

No chance of rain for next six days

The sky will remain generally clear in the national capital till Friday and will remain partly cloudy towards the end of the week.
