New Delhi : The festive season has started in India. As is the tradition every year, people of India purchase vehicles during this festive season and due to this, there is expected to be a significant increase in the sales of new vehicles in the Indian automotive market. Apart from limited edition models and attractive benefits on existing models, automakers also take advantage of the festive season excitement to launch all-new models or facelifts of existing models. This year is no different. About five new cars and SUVs are ready for launch before the festive season.

Tata Harrier Facelift

Tata Motors has released a new teaser for the updated Harrier to be launched before the festive season. The teaser shows the silhouette of the front profile, which has a full-length LED connecting light bar. The Harrier will receive updates like a revised front grille, new vertical housing for the LED projectors and revised tail lamps with LED inserts. The cabin will also see significant updates including a new layout and full-TFT screen.

To match the refreshed Harrier, Tata Motors is also bringing a comprehensively updated Safari. The teaser provides a clear view of the front profile of the updated Safari, which has been introduced in a new Bronze Gold shade. It features a new grille, revised DRLs with connecting LED bars and vertical headlamp housing with LED projectors. The updated Safari will also get an overhauled cabin layout and an updated 2.0-litre diesel engine from the Harrier.

Nissan Magnite AMT

Nissan will introduce a new AMT-equipped variant of the Magnite compact SUV, which is likely to be named Easy-Shift. There will be no visual change in these variants as compared to the existing Magnite variants. However, it will be powered by a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated 72 PS petrol engine, mated to a 5-speed AMT gearbox. One powertrain is already available in the Renault Kiger.

Tata Punch EV

Tata Motors is expanding its lineup of electric vehicles by launching the EV edition of the Punch sub-compact SUV in the coming days. Tata Punch EV, seen in production-ready form via spy shots. It shares styling similarities with its petrol-powered counterpart. It is expected to share battery options with the Tata Nexon EV Medium Range Edition.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus

The extended edition of the Mahindra Bolero Neo has been extensively tested and is finally ready to hit showrooms soon. The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus is likely to share most of the design elements with the sub-four-metre Bolero Neo, but it will get a larger and more powerful 2.2-litre diesel engine to offset the extra weight.
