Preparations intensified for Lok Sabha elections in Ranchi, 900 vehicles will be required

Ranchi: For the Lok Sabha elections, 318 vehicles will be required for the Sector Magistrate in Ranchi. Of these, 33 vehicles will be installed in Silli, 32 in Tamar, 58 in Kanke, 57 in Khijri, 59 in Hatia, 21 in Ranchi and 58 in Mandar. These vehicles include Scorpio, Sumo and Innova. Apart from this, small vehicles will also be kept in reserve. At the same time, 579 buses will be required for polling. This will be made available to the polling party. An assessment is being made as to how many seat buses will be required at which booths. Detailed information about vehicles has been entered on the VMS portal of the Vehicle Department. Buses will be taken three days before voting: Buses will be taken three days before voting for the places where voting will take place. However, these buses will be abandoned after the elections. DTO Akhilesh Kumar said that care will be taken to ensure that classes are not affected due to school buses.
Instructions to ensure facilities at polling stations
Jharkhand Education Project Director Aditya Ranjan has directed to ensure necessary resources in government schools where there are polling stations. He has written letters to DEOs and DSEs of all the districts. Districts have been asked to ensure provision of toilets, electricity, water and necessary furniture in the respective schools. DEO and DSE have also been asked to inspect five schools each at their level.
