Ranchi University: Students who reached the examination center had to return empty handed.

Ranchi: On Thursday, in the graduation semester two examination being conducted by Ranchi University, the candidates at many centers had to return empty handed without appearing for the examination. When the candidates of Generic Elective (Zoology) subject reached the examination center at the appointed time at 9 am, they were told that their examination was not today, but on March 9. On hearing this, the candidates started creating ruckus.
The candidates were also shown the examination schedule issued by the university. In which the examination of the said subject was written on Thursday itself at 9 am. But when the examination schedule was matched by the Centre, it was found that Thursday’s examination is in the second shift on Saturday i.e. March 9. However, the examination schedule available with the candidates was also released on 22nd February and the exam schedule available with the center was also released on 22nd February. When this information was given to the University Examination Department, it was told that the revised schedule was issued twice on 22 February. Only the examination schedule available with the examination center is final.
At Nirmala College centre, candidates were not allowed to enter, whereas at Ranchi Women’s College, answer sheets were distributed among many candidates. Later, when information about the examination schedule was received, all the answer sheets were taken back and the candidates were sent back after explaining. It is said that the examination schedule for Undergraduate Semester 2 Old Backlog and Vocational/Ed on-CA Diploma Course (Session 2022-25) has been revised thrice by the university administration.
