Tata Tigor iCNG and Tata Tiago iCNG cars: Ratan Tata, India’s philanthropic veteran industrialist and honorary chairman of Tata Sons, has once again launched two affordable new CNG cars in the market keeping in mind the poor common man of the country. Tata Motors has launched Tigor ICNG and Tiago ICNG in the market. Both these cars are equipped with Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT). Come, let us know about these two cars.
Tiago-Tigor ICNG Prices
Tata Motors has announced the launch of two models with India’s first CNG engines equipped with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). The company has fixed the price of Tiago ICNG AMT at Rs 7,89,900 ex-showroom India, while the ex-showroom price of Tigor ICNG is Rs 8,84,900.
Variants of Tiago-Tigor ICNG
Tata Tiago ICNG AMT has been introduced in a total of four variants, which include XTA, XZA Plus, XZA Plus Dual Tone and XZA NRG. The Tigor ICNG AMT is available only in the top-spec XZA and XZA Plus trims. Tata’s dual-cylinder CNG tank technology is available in both models. Instead of one big CNG cylinder taking up the boot space, both these cars have two smaller cylinders, which fit below the luggage area.
Tiago-Tigor ICNG engine
Tiago-Tigor ICNG cars use a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which is capable of generating 72 bhp power at 6,000 rpm and 95 Nm torque at 3,500 rpm in CNG mode. The engine is now available with a 5-speed AMT in addition to the standard 5-speed manual gearbox.
Tiago-Tigor ICNG Colors
Tata Motors has also introduced three new options for these two cars. A new Tornado Blue shade has been given on Tiago ICNG, while Grassland Beige has been given a new color option on Tiago NRG. Whereas, Meteor Bronze shade has been given on Tigor.
