More than 4 lakh 30 thousand shareholders and others participated in the online annual general meeting of billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s company Reliance Industries. Shareholders attended the AGM in large numbers breaking all previous records. The previous record was of the AGM held in 2022, in which about 3 lakh 90 thousand people took part. The company has been conducting virtual AGM since the time of Covid pandemic.
The company had made many big technical arrangements so that lakhs of shareholders could participate in the meeting. Special arrangements were also made for the deaf in the company’s AGM held on the video calling app ‘JioMeet’. All the proposals made by the company to the shareholders were available in sign language.
Sharing his experience, Lal Singh Thakur, a blind person who attended the AGM from Ludhiana city of Punjab state, said that Reliance had made excellent arrangements for the deaf and blind in the AGM. Being a shareholder, I was able to convey my point to the management of the company and that too without any problem.
A Reliance Industries spokesperson said that more and more shareholders attending the AGM shows the confidence of the shareholders in the company. Joining of around 4 lakh 30 thousand people on JioMeet is an achievement not only for the country but also for the world. Our technical teams worked day and night to make this program a success.
