This bike has a 648 cc parallel twin air oil-cooled engine, which generates power of 47 PS at 7250 rpm and torque of 52.3 Nm at 5650 rpm. It has a 6-speed gearbox. The curb weight of this bike is 240 kg.

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 bike has inverted Showa Separate Function Big Piston Fork suspension at the front (with 120 mm wheel travel) and Showa twin shock absorber suspension at the rear (with 90 mm travel). For braking duty, it has been provided with 320 mm and 300 mm disc brakes on the front and rear sides along with dual channel ABS (standard). For riding, this motorcycle has 18-inch wheels at the front and 17-inch wheels at the rear, which are fitted with 100-section and 130-section (radial) tubeless tires respectively.

The price of Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 starts at Rs 3.59 lakh, ex-showroom India, going up to Rs 3.73 lakh. At the same time, it does not compete directly with any bike, but on the price front, it is slightly more expensive than Jawa Perak and Jawa 42 Bobber.
