Salaries of 14 teachers of 12 schools cut in Muzaffarpur

In Muzaffarpur, the Education Department, showing strictness, has deducted one day’s salary of 14 teachers of 12 schools who were missing from the school without notice. Along with this, the DEO has also sought clarification from these teachers. This action has been taken on the basis of the inspection report conducted on March 20 and 21. The DEO has said that if satisfactory reply is not received within three days, departmental action will be initiated against the concerned teachers.
Teachers were found missing from school without notice
The DEO said that to ensure regular attendance of teachers and to increase the attendance of children, the department has prepared a schedule of regular inspections from July 2023. Under this, all schools are being inspected at least twice a week. A calendar has been issued for inspection of schools from the level of District Magistrate. During inspection on March 20 and 21, 14 teachers were found missing from the school without any information.
These teachers were absent
Officers Parveen, Soni Kumari and Varsha were absent together from Dharhara Hindi middle school of Sahebganj block. Shiv Kumar of Semra Nanhkar and Indu Kumari of Primary School Sarai Dakshin Tola were found absent. Saman Fatma in primary school Barri Urdu of Katra block, Praveen Kumar in Higher Secondary School Berua of Saraiya, Priyanka Kumari in Muraul,
Anjula Kumari was found absent in primary school Chandiha Mushar of Aurai, Kumari Richa in Higher Secondary School Thikhaan of Motipur and Nishi Kumari was found absent in primary school Bajitpur Kodariya of Kudhani. Ramesh Paswan of primary school Fakiradih Sahagan of Gaighat block, Gambhir Kumar of primary school Shivdahan Barail and Meera Kumari of Higher Secondary School Hanuman Nagar were also absent from school without giving any application.
No inspection was conducted in any school of Madvan and Sakra on March 23.
On the instructions of the department, a schedule has been made for inspection of schools in all the blocks. According to this, all schools are to be inspected at least twice a week. To improve the attendance of teachers, the department has set the priority for inspection, but carelessness is being taken in this at the district level.
According to the report of March 23 released from the District Education Department, no school has been inspected in Madvan and Sakra blocks. The inspection report only in Sahebganj block is satisfactory. A total of 97 schools out of 189 have been inspected here. A total of 593 schools out of 3293 in the district were inspected, in which six teachers were found absent.
