Let us tell you that for a person living in Karnataka, online searching became a costly deal. One mistake cost him Rs 63 thousand. Scammers stole this amount from his wife’s bank account.

Thousands of rupees lost in the clutches of scammers

The wife of Vishal M Ekkundi of Karnataka had ordered a product on July 18 during online shopping. Which was delivered on 26th July. When the product was opened, its quality was very poor. In such a situation, he thought of returning the product, after which Vishal searched the company’s customer care number through Google search. But as soon as he called the number searched from Google, he became a victim of fraud.

The customer care that Vishal had assumed was actually that of a scammer. During the conversation, the scammer very cleverly introduced himself as a representative of the company and explained the process of returning the product. During this time, Vishal also shared his bank details with her but later Vishal came to know that he had become a victim of fraud and a huge amount of Rs 63 thousand had been withdrawn from his wife’s bank account.

After this, Vishal lodged a complaint with the cyber police, after which the police is investigating the entire matter.
