Sunil Shetty and Vedas Manun Thakur launch the world’s first affordable and private mental health app Lets Get Happi

Currently, on the backdrop of increasing discussions on growing mental health issues in India and around the world, Letsgethappi is the world’s first mental health app launched by Veda Rehabilitation & Wellness with 24×7 access to therapy by psychologists. Redefining the digital health landscape, with a keen interest in startups in India to provide accessible, inclusive mental health support to people and provide solutions to address negative societal mindsets around mental health Venture capitalist and actor Suniel Shetty, who has invested in several ventures in the healthcare industry, launched the app along with Manoon Thakur, founder and CEO of Veda Rehabilitation and Wellness. Mr. Vishwas Nangre Patil, Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Maharashtra was also present at the function held at JW Marriott, Juhu, Mumbai.

Manoon Thakur of Veda further added, “I myself started this company from zero and I have the highest investment in Veda. My own journey of battling with mental health issues inspired me to find more reliable and up-to-date solutions and hence, I started Veda. This investment will build on another Rs 55 crore over the next 3 years and will be used to provide more solutions to scale up the company’s operations. Rajasthan is the place from where it all started! I was there during Covid and I thought of making Veda and last year, on a family trip to Udaipur, I decided to make Happi app.

The app currently includes therapy via audio, video and chat, journaling, psychological assessment tests, content on a variety of wellness topics from industry experts, meditations based on Om chants to EDM and house music, daily mood check-ins and version 2.0 of the app (by January 24) will bring AI as a first responder, games to improve cognition and memory, premium content, podcasts and interactive journaling.

The app has received endorsements from leading mental health advocates and experts from various industries. This app has got the support of many angel investors. Actor and entrepreneur Sunil Shetty, celebrity surgeon and investor from Silicon Valley Dr. Srinivasa Ramachandra, former Stanford University faculty Dr. Pramela Ramachandra, CEO of Diamantina Yogesh Bulchandani, founder of Dubai private equity Amalthea Capital Karan Kumar, Chairman of Lotus Herbals This app has got the support of well-known personalities like Nitin Passi etc. Manoon Thakur has a business background in real estate and infra development, studied Entrepreneurship and Leadership from Harvard and is currently pursuing a course in Psychology from Yale.

This app has been developed by NCR based Primathon, a company run by Sagar Patidar, an alumnus of IIT Delhi. Letsgethappi This app is available on both iOS and Android devices. It has already crossed 16,000 downloads and is expected to cross 500,000 downloads in the next 9 months.
