Suzuki unveils new avatar of Swift, equipped with ADAS technology

New Delhi : Suzuki, the Japanese partner of Indian car manufacturer Maruti, unveiled the concept model of the new generation Swift at the Japan Auto Show on Wednesday. The automaker has showcased its new car equipped with new look, ADAS technology and advanced features at the Japan Auto Show. This hatchback car of the company is very popular in India by the name of Maruti Swift. This is one of the best selling cars of Maruti Suzuki in India, which has been introduced in a new avatar. It has also been said in the media report that the car Swift displayed at the Japan Auto Show is still in concept form, but the company is also ready to produce it.
Design of new Suzuki Swift
The new Maruti Suzuki Swift retains its overall stance, shape and curves. However, many elements like headlights, bumpers have been changed to make it look sportier than before. The displayed model is presented in blue color. However, the roof top has been introduced in black colour. However, another major change has been made in this car. The back door handle has been fitted in the traditional place. At the back, the new Swift is expected to get the same set of taillights. However, the bumper is likely to be redesigned like the concept version.
Major changes in the interior features of the new Suzuki Swift
Compared to the exterior of the new Swift, major changes have been made in the interior. The upcoming hatchback will come with an all-new cabin with dual-tone dashboard, free-standing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new digital driver display and more. Among other changes, the new Swift is expected to come with electric sunroof, Aircross front seats, 360-degree camera, wireless charging as well as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay features.
ADAS technology in new Suzuki Swift
Level-2 ADAS technology is also available in the new Swift displayed at the Japan Auto Show. If Maruti decides to launch the new Swift with driver assist technology, it will be the first model from the carmaker to offer this advanced feature in India.

Maruti Suzuki is expected to continue offering the 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox. The engine can generate power up to 88.76 bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. Hybrid technology can also be used to further increase the fuel capacity in the new Swift.
