Tata Nexon Dark Edition: There is a big news for the lovers of Tata Nexon and that is that Tata Motors is now going to introduce it in Dark Edition facelift. There is also news that Tata Nexon Dark Edition facelift will come in both petrol and diesel variants. The most special thing in this will be the Oberon Black exterior shade seen on Harrier and Safari. Along with this, it will also get blacked-out alloy wheels and all-black interior. Not only this, this vehicle will be cheaper by about Rs 30,000 compared to the current variant of Nexon.

Tata Motors has made a major change in Nexon in September 2023, in which new design, many new features and more transmission options have been included. However, at the time of launch, Tata did not introduce the Dark Edition of the new Nexon, which was available with its pre-facelift edition. The updated Tata Nexon will soon get a Dark Edition and the list of variants has been leaked in an online report.

According to the leaked information, Tata will offer the Dark Edition of Nexon in both petrol and diesel variants. If we talk about manual petrol engine, then Tata Motors can include it in Creative Dark, Creative Plus Dark, Creative Plus S Dark, Fearless Dark and Fearless Plus S Dark variants. At the same time, in its automatic petrol engine, it will be offered in Creative Dark AMT, Creative Plus S Dark DCT and Fearless Plus S Dark DCT variants. Apart from this, the manual diesel engine of Nexon Dark Edition facelift will be available in three variants Creative Plus Dark, Creative Plus S Dark and Fearless Plus S Dark variants. At the same time, its automatic engine also includes three variants Creative Dark AMT, Creative Plus S Dark AMT and Fearless Plus S Dark AMT.

There will be no change in features

If media reports are to be believed, Tata Motors will not make any changes in the features of the Nexon Dark Edition facelift. It can be given the features of regular model of Nexon, which includes 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch digital driver display, automatic AC, ventilated front seats, cruise control and paddle shifters. At the same time, for the safety of passengers, it can be provided with 6-airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and blind spot monitoring system along with 360-degree camera.

Engines of Tata Nexon Dark Edition Facelift

Tata Nexon comes with two powertrain options, which include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine (120 PS and 170 Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (115 PS and 260 Nm). The petrol engine gets three transmission options depending on the variant that gets the Dark Edition treatment, including a 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT, and 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT), while the diesel gets a 6-speed manual transmission. Or can be paired with any one of the 6-speed AMT.

Tata Nexon Dark Edition estimated price and competition

Tata Nexon Dark Edition facelift may be cheaper by about Rs 30,000 compared to its regular variant. Ex-showroom price of regular Nexon ranges between Rs 8.15 lakh to Rs 15.60 lakh. In the market it competes with Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
