Tata Harrier and Tata Safari were given 5 star safety rating in the first crash test results released by indigenous agency Bharat NCAP. Achieving this rating means that both these Tata cars are at the top in saving the lives of all the passengers sitting in the car during a road accident.

Swadesh car crash test started on 15th December

Let us tell you that earlier, to get the safety rating, the vehicle manufacturing companies producing and selling cars in India had to get the safety rating after getting their cars crash tested by the Global New Car Assessment Program (Global NCAP). . With the initiative of the Government of India, Bharat NCAP has been started as an indigenous car crash test agency in the country on 15 December 2023. As soon as it started, the country’s car manufacturing companies like Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai, Honda etc. sent about 15 of their cars for crash testing on the very first day. In this, Tata Motors’ two SUV cars Safari and Harrier have won and both these cars have been given 5 star safety rating by Bharat NCAP.

Nitin Gadkari congratulated Tata Motors

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari congratulated Tata Motors after Bharat NCAP posted on the social media platform that Tata Motors’ two cars Safari and Harrier have been given 5 star safety rating in the car crash test results. Along with this, he also praised Tata Motors. He said in a statement that Bharat-NCAP is India’s independent and self-reliant voice on vehicle safety. It is based on best-in-class global standards and the India-NCAP vehicle rating system is designed to advance road safety and vehicle safety standards beyond the mandated norms. He said that both these cars of Tata Motors are the first vehicles to be certified by India NCAP.

Tata’s Safari and Harrier SUV cars pass all tests

In a post made on social media platform X, India NCAP said, ‘Global safety standards have started in India. Tata’s Safari and Harrier have shone with top adult and child safety ratings in frontal, side and pole side impact tests by BNCAP. She is taking the first step in this direction. The agency said earlier this week that it would release safety ratings for the initial batch of vehicles it has evaluated since its inception. An indigenous test agency was set up earlier this year to test the safety of cars manufactured in India. With this, India has now joined the club of four countries which have this test system. These four countries are America, China, South Korea and Japan.
