This much fine will have to be paid for late payment of property tax

Patna Municipal Corporation is continuously running a campaign to make the common people aware about paying property tax, but still many defaulters have not paid. Similarly, notices have been pasted prohibiting the buying and selling of properties of many big defaulters.

Penalty will have to be paid for late payment of property tax

In this series, under the special campaign, buildings and houses of about 400 defaulters have been identified by Patna Municipal Corporation. Patna Municipal Corporation has given this defaulter time till 31st March to deposit the tax. If the outstanding amount is not paid by this day, the Municipal Corporation will charge an additional amount of 1.5% as penalty.

You can pay property tax even on holidays

For the convenience of the people, all the counters of Patna Municipal Corporation will remain open on Sundays and holidays till March 31, so that they can pay property tax even on holidays.

Along with property tax collection, tax assessment of new property is also being done on spot by the team of Patna Municipal Corporation. For assessment or reassessment of property tax, city residents can book their slot by calling the toll free number 155304 issued by the corporation. After the slot is booked, the team of Patna Municipal Corporation will go to their house and establishment and complete the work of tax assessment/reassessment.

Online and offline facilities for payment, assessment and re-assessment

• You can pay property tax sitting at home through the official portal of the corporation bihar.gov.in/.
• Property tax can also be paid at the corporation headquarters and zonal offices.
• Special counters have been arranged for property tax collection near Boring Road intersection and Income Tax Golambar.
• The corporation team is going to all the wards every day and collecting taxes. People can also pay tax through posh machine or QR code.
• You can pay property tax from home through Paytm, PhonePe, GPay and other UPI.
• You can do the work of tax assessment and reassessment yourself by filling the self assessment form available on the portal.
• For tax assessment of new property and reassessment of old property, common villagers can also contact Patna Municipal Corporation by calling toll free number 155304.
