Thar On-Road Price: If you are going to buy Mahindra & Mahindra’s off-road SUV, then wait. Domestic vehicle manufacturer Mahindra has increased its prices. Mahindra has increased the price of off-road SUV Thar by about Rs 43,000. Its ex-showroom price starts from Rs 10.98 lakh, which goes up to Rs 16.94 lakh. Mahindra Thar comes in two variants: AX Optional and LX. Mahindra Thar comes in three engine options, which include 2-litre turbo petrol (150PS/320Nm), 2.2-litre diesel (130PS/300Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel (118PS/300Nm). A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard with all engines, while a 6-speed automatic gearbox is also available with the 2-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. Thar car is available in both four-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive options.
