Tata Nexon facelift design
Domestic car manufacturer Tata Motors has launched the Nexon facelift in early October 2023. In its new version, this SUV has passed the Global NCAP Crash (GNCAP) test with a 5-star safety rating. Nexon is becoming quite popular because of its safety rating. This car is now coming with a new designed split LED headlight setup. It also has a new LED tail light setup along with new front and back bumpers. The company has given an updated look not only to the exterior design of the car but also to the interior. Inside the car, a new 2 spoke steering wheel, dashboard layout and interior color is now available.
Engine, Specifications and Mileage
Both petrol and diesel engine options are available in Tata Nexon. It has the first 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine which generates 120 bhp power and 170 Nm torque. The other one is 1.5-litre diesel engine which gives output of 115 bhp power and 260 Nm torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT and a new 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT). The option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT is given with the diesel unit. Nexon is claimed to have a mileage of 25 kilometers per litre.
Strong in features too
Tata Nexon has features like 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver display, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, cruise control and paddle shifters. It also has a 9-speaker JBL sound system with subwoofer and Harman-enhanced AudioWorx.
Safety Features and Competition
From safety point of view, it has advanced features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and 360-degree camera as standard. In the Indian market, Nexon competes directly with Honda Elevate, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Maruti Brezza.
