Threads rolls out iOS update, brings activity feed, translations and more to Follow tab

San Francisco. Threads has released a new update to its iOS application, adding activity feed, translation and more to the ‘Follow’ tab.

In a post on Threads, Instagram software engineer Cameron Roth said, “The new Threads app iOS update was released today! See what we’ve worked hard to build.”

Apart from the Follows tab and translation, the new update also allows users to subscribe to unfollowed users and open Instagram followers list on the app.

According to Roth, the update also brings improvements to Activity Feed scrolling and loading.

He further added, with the update, users will also get “tapable reposter labels” and “following plus on thread reply pages”.

The company is also introducing some minor crash fixes.

Roth continued, “You may have to restart your app or wait until the end of the day to see some of these! We use a system of server-delivered flags that take some time to fully release.” could.”

The Verge reports that the ‘Follow’ tab the company is rolling out for iOS users is not the followings-only feed users have been asking for.

This tab only allows viewing a list of users who have recently followed them.

The company released the last update to its iOS app last week, which added the ability to use the app on iOS 17 without crashing and expand photos on profiles.

In addition, it made extra-long photos perfectly viewable, and also improved scroll dismiss handling on profiles.
