Twitter Blue users will now be able to write their words in 25,000 characters

San Francisco. Elon Musk-run Twitter has increased the character limit for a tweet to 25,000 for Blue subscribers.

Earlier, the company had increased the character limit to 4,000 in February, later increasing it to 10,000 in April.

Twitter engineer Prachi Poddar announced the change in a tweet last week, saying, “We’ve increased the character limit for note tweets (long form tweets) from 10,000 to 25,000. Enjoy long note tweets and happy tweeting.”

The company has also made changes to its Twitter Blue Page. The company noted, “Want to tweet longer than 280 characters? Long Tweets allow Blue subscribers to tweet up to 25,000 characters. You can quote tweets or reply to long tweets.”

In addition to increasing the character limit for tweets, Twitter Blue subscribers now have the ability to upload longer videos. The microblogging platform started allowing paid users to upload 1080p videos of up to 60 minutes in December last year. Meanwhile, Twitter is working on limiting the number of direct messages (DMs) sent by non-blue users every day.

“Twitter is working on limiting the number of DMs you can send each day before signing up for Twitter Blue,” tweeted leaker Alessandro Paluzzi.

As per the screenshot shared by the leaker, after reaching the limit, non-Twitter Blue users will get a message saying Get verified to send more messages.(IANS)
