Look of the new Mercedes-Benz GLS
Mercedes-Benz has updated the look of both the GLS cars. This vehicle is built on the Modular High Architecture (MHA) platform, which makes it longer and wider than other SUVs. It has air inlet grilles with high-gloss black surround on the front bumper. It has been provided with stylish 21-inch alloy wheels. The front bumper of the car has been given a new LED pattern with high-gloss black surround, air inlet grilles and headlamps.
Engines of the new Mercedes-Benz GLS
The new cars of Mercedes-Benz GLS have been introduced in hybrid version, in which the option of petrol and diesel engines is given. The Mercedes-Benz GLS 400d trim has a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine, which generates maximum power of 325bhp and peak torque of 700Nm. At the same time, the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 trim has a 3.0-litre petrol engine, which is capable of generating power of 360bhp. Both these engines are connected to 48V hybrid setup. This vehicle is equipped with 4 wheel drive system.
Features of the new Mercedes-Benz GLS
The interior of the new Mercedes-Benz GLS has a 7-seater cabin with wooden trim on the dashboard, leather upholstery in the cabin, multi-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, multi-color ambient lighting. Apart from this, it has a 12.3-inch freestanding driver display and 11.9-inch infotainment panel, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For the safety of passengers, it has been provided with special Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) along with features like multiple airbags, parking assist, 360 degree camera and hill assist.
Price of the new Mercedes-Benz GLS
Mercedes-Benz has introduced the GLS petrol 450 model at Rs 1.32 crore, ex-showroom India. The 450d diesel model of the new Mercedes-Benz GLS has been launched for Rs 1.37 crore. This car will compete with BMW X5 in the market. Mercedes-Benz is also going to launch its AMG CLE 53 coupe in India this year.
