If your ticket is showing as waiting on the IRCTC app or website, then you can choose the option to buy Tatkal ticket. Let us tell you that the Tatkal ticket booking window opens at 10 am a day before the date of journey. IRCTC will ask you about other trains of your choice. Seven trains can be selected in this. If VIKALP option is not available while booking train ticket, then you will get VIKALP ticket option even by going to booked ticket history. How to confirm waiting ticket in Holi special train using VIKALP?

Use of VIKALP at the time of ticket booking-

You have to go to IRCTC website or app and enter your travel information.
When you get the chance to choose a train, tick the box that says Use Option Scheme or Select Option
Now you will have the option to choose up to seven alternative trains of your choice.
