San Francisco | Tech giant Google has introduced new features for the password manager including the ability to create desktop shortcuts. In addition, Google Password Manager now has a dedicated home in Chrome on desktop, making it easier for users to review their saved online credentials or change their password settings, the tech giant said in a blogpost on Thursday. . Currently it’s only available on mobile, biometric authentication is coming soon to desktop.

If you want to enable this feature, you may need an additional layer of security, such as fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, or other methods supported by your computer’s operating system, before Chrome will autofill your passwords. .

Now, users can also add notes to the saved credentials in the Password Manager which will help them keep all their important login details at one place.

Plus, it’s now easier for users to upload their passwords from other password managers.

Users simply need to export their passwords as a CSV file and import them directly into Chrome on a computer.

Apart from flagging compromised passwords, Password Checkup on iOS will also flag weak and reused passwords, the tech giant said.
