What is GRAP?
The full name of GRAP is Graded Response Action Plan. It is a scheme implemented by the Delhi government which imposes restrictions based on the level of air quality.
GRAP consists of four steps:
GRAP-1: GRAP-1 applies when the air quality index (AQI) is between 201 and 300. In this phase, the following restrictions apply:

GRAP-2: The rules apply when the air quality index (AQI) is between 301 and 400. In this phase, the following restrictions apply:

Ban on all Bharat Stage-4 vehicles.

What is GRAP?

What are BS3 and BS4 vehicles?
S3 and BS4 vehicles are vehicles classified as per the emission standards set by the Government of India. The Government of India has implemented these standards to reduce air pollution. BS3 vehicles are vehicles manufactured as per Bharat Stage 3 standards. These vehicles were first sold in India in 2010. BS3 standards control emissions of harmful pollutants like nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM). BS4 vehicles are vehicles manufactured as per Bharat Stage 4 standards. These vehicles were sold for the first time in India in 2017. BS4 standards are more stringent than BS3 standards. They further reduce NOx and PM emissions.
