Waiting list in trains is long due to Holi, people are getting worried

Ranchi: People going from the capital Ranchi to other states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi during Holi are not getting confirmed tickets. The waiting list is long in most trains on Saturday. Due to this the problems of the people have increased. On March 23, in Rourkela-Jayanagar, the waiting list in sleeper is 122, the waiting list in third AC is 34 and the waiting list in second AC is 10. On March 23, in Hatia-Islampur Express, the waiting list is 143 in sleeper, 38 in 3-E, 55 in 3rd AC, 37 in 2-AC. Whereas on March 24, there is 23 waiting seats in sleeper and tickets are available in other classes. On March 23, in Hatia-Patna Patliputra, there is 89 waiting in sleeper and 30 waiting in third AC. In Sambalpur-Gorakhpur Maurya Express, there is 138 waiting in sleeper on 23rd March, 49 waiting in 3rd AC, 14 waiting in 2nd AC, 96 waiting in sleeper on 24th March. On March 23, in Hatia-Bangalore Express, there is 71 waiting in sleeper, 11 waiting in third AC and 6 waiting in two AC. In Ranchi-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, there is 83 waiting in third AC, 03 waiting in second AC. In Hatia-LTT, there is 34 waiting in sleeper and 13 waiting in third AC.

Seat vacant in Holi special train

In view of the rush of passengers on Holi, many special trains were announced by the Railways. Even after this, berths remain vacant in many trains. A huge crowd of passengers is being seen in normal trains. Among the Holi special trains operated by the Railways on Friday, many seats were vacant in Ranchi-Gorakhpur Holi Special train, Ranchi-Katihar Holi special train and Durg-Patna train. In this regard, a railway official said that due to the opening time and arrival time of Holi special train being late at night, people are avoiding traveling in these trains and are looking for other options. Ranchi Railway Division will operate Ranchi-Purnia on Saturday, March 23 and Ranchi-Jayanagar on March 23. Seats are unavailable in these trains.
