WhatsApp Monthly User Safety Report: Under IT Rules 2021, social media companies release monthly user safety report every month. In this sequence, Meta has released the safety report of WhatsApp for the month of July.
The company has banned 72 lakh Indian accounts from the platform in July. The company has said that between July 1 and 31, it has banned 72,28,000 WhatsApp accounts, while 31,08,000 accounts were already banned without any complaint.
If we talk about India in WhatsApp, it has 550 million active users. In the month of July, the company had received 11,067 complaints, out of which the company took action on only 72.
User Safety Report tells how many complaints the company has received. Apart from WhatsApp, the company also closed 21 million accounts with bad content from Facebook in India in July 2023. In the month of July also, 5.9 million bad contents were deleted from Instagram.
WhatsApp bans those accounts which are active on the platform against the company’s terms and conditions. If you indulge in obscene, illegal, defamatory, threatening, spreading hatred or other wrong activities on WhatsApp, then the company can ban your account. If you do not want your account to be banned, then definitely follow the terms and conditions of the company.
