Netflix stops password sharing in India:
Netflix Account ID Password Sharing has been discontinued. However, the company has said that account sharing will be allowed in only one household. That is, if you live together at the same place, then you can share your account with the people there.
Along with this, if you use a Netflix account registered at your home location, then your device must connect to your home location at least once in a month. Only by doing this will you be able to use your Netflix account. Whereas, if you are not able to do this or you are going somewhere for more than a month, then you will have to pay extra for it.
If you are using your friend’s account, you will be asked to create another account or update your home location. This new policy has been implemented from 20 July. It will be gradually rolled out across the country.
Netflix will track a user’s primary location through their IP address, device ID, Wi-Fi network, and account activity. The primary location will be where the user watches Netflix and is connected to the home Wi-Fi network and connected devices.
Users will soon be told everything about this new policy. For this, the company will also mail the users. Please tell that users will also be able to check who has logged in from their account. For this, they have to go to the security and privacy settings. Then go to Manage Access and Devices.
