Chaitra Navratri 2nd Day 2024: Today is the second day of Navratri. Today Brahmacharini, the second form of Goddess Durga, will be worshipped. Here the word ‘Brahma’ means penance and ‘Brahmacharini’ means one who practices penance. A person who worships Goddess Brahmacharini gets victory in all his tasks. He is victorious everywhere. If you also want to ensure your victory in any task, then today you must chant this mantra of Goddess Brahmacharini. By the grace of Mother Brahmacharini Devi, he achieves success and victory everywhere. On this day the mind of the seeker becomes relaxed in ‘Swadhishthan’ Chakra. A Yogi with a mind situated in this Chakra receives His grace and devotion.

Mother Brahmacharini’s form

Out of the two hands of Mother Brahmacharini, she has a chanting rosary in her right hand and a kamandal in her left hand. The form of Mother Brahmacharini is wearing white clothes, worshiping her increases the power of chanting and penance within a person. Mother Brahmacharini gives the message to her devotees that success can be achieved only through hard work. According to religious belief, Mother Brahmacharini did hard penance to please Lord Shankar, hence she is also called Tapashcharini. Mother Brahmacharini kept worshiping Lord Shankar by eating the leaves that fell on the ground for thousands of years and later she stopped eating the leaves, due to which she also got the name Aparna.

Now offer flowers, sandalwood, Akshat, Roli, paan, betel nut and cloves to Mata Rani, after this offer Panchamrit and sugar or jaggery sweets to Mata Brahmacharini. Now perform the Aarti of Mata Rani and chant the mantras of Maa Brahmacharini.
