San Francisco. Twitter’s blue bird logo has now been replaced by an ‘X’ logo on Android and iOS devices.

This change has come at the behest of Elon Musk, the owner of the platform. Musk tweeted, “Something special is coming soon.”

On July 23, Musk hinted at a rebranding of Twitter with a series of tweets, one of which said, “Soon we will be saying goodbye to the Twitter brand and slowly to all Byrds.”

The next day, X People replaced Twitter Blue Bird on the web version of the platform.

The Musk-run company also installed a large ‘X’ logo at its headquarters last week, which lights up all night long.

Activists were also seen removing the letters from the iconic ‘Twitter’ vertical sign at the headquarters.

In addition, X briefly changed its tweet button to ‘post’ on its web version, suggesting that all trace of Blue Bird and its associated Twitter account would soon disappear.

The brief change was noticed by a user who posted a screenshot of the new post button on the platform.

On July 28, the tech billionaire posted a graph showing the growth of the platform. He wrote, “X monthly users will reach a new high in 2023.”

The number at the end of the chart was 541,562,214.
