YAMAHA MT-03 Yamaha has launched two new bikes in the country’s two-wheeler market. The names of these two bikes are Yamaha MT-03 and Yamaha YZF-R3. With the arrival of these two bikes in the market, it is expected to give tough competition to KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, TVS Apache RTR 310 and BMW G 310 R.
MT-03: Brand new model
MT-03 is a new model of Yamaha in India. It is a sports-scrambler style bike, which is known for its appearance and riding position. It has non-adjust USD forks and monoshock suspension. For braking, disc brakes have been provided on both the wheels with dual-channel ABS.
YZF-R3: updated model
YZF-R3 is an updated model of Yamaha, which was earlier also available in the Indian market. It is a supersport bike, which is known for its sporty style and riding position. It has non-adjustable USD forks and monoshock suspension. For braking, disc brakes are provided on both wheels with dual-channel ABS.
Diamond-Type Tubular Frame
Both the Yamaha MT-03 and YZF-R3 bikes are built on a diamond-type tubular frame. Different bodywork has been done in both these bikes. In Yamaha MT-03 bike, you get to see upright position with less bodywork. Whereas Yamaha YZF-R3 bike comes with full fairing, clip-on bar and tucked-down riding position.
Same engine in both bikes
Same engine has been used in both these bikes. In these you get a 321 cc parallel-twin engine based on liquid-cooled technology. Which has the capacity to produce maximum power of 41bhp as well as peak torque of 29.5Nm. In this you get a six-speed gearbox for better performance.
USD forks and monoshock at the rear
Both Yamaha MT-03 and Yamaha YZF-R3 bikes have non-adjust USD forks and monoshock at the rear for a comfortable ride. In this bike, the company provides disc brakes on both the wheels along with dual channel ABS for better braking.
Competition between both bikes
Along with LCD instrument console in both these bikes, the company also provides 17 inch wheels. With the arrival of these two bikes in the market, they will face tough competition from KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, TVS Apache RTR 310 and BMW G 310 R. hopefully. Their prices have been fixed at Rs 4.59 lakh and Rs 4.64 lakh respectively.
