The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) announced the squads for several important international competitions ahead of the Olympics to be held in July-August. Three teams were announced which included Prithviraj Tondaiman and Vivaan Kapoor in men’s trap while Shreyasi and Manisha Keer for women’s trap and Meraj and Sheeraj Shaikh are regular shooters featuring in men’s skeet and Ganemat and Maheshwari Chauhan in women’s skeet.
Zorawar Sandhu in men’s trap competition, Neeru in women’s trap, Angad Bajwa in men’s skeet and Areeba Khan in women’s skeet will also get a chance to achieve Paris quota. India has so far secured 19 quotas for the Paris Olympics. The shotgun team has secured the highest number of quotas (four) for the Olympics so far.
