The TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) has been entertaining the audience for the last 15 years. The show has a strong fan-following on social media. Where a year ago, Shailesh Lodha, playing the role of Tarak Mehta, said goodbye to the show. After which the fans were missing him a lot. It is being told that due to money, Shailesh had said goodbye to the show. It is now reported that Shailesh has filed a case against Asit Kumar Modi and his production house accusing them of not paying his dues.

Complaint against TMKOC producer Asit Kumar Modi?

Reportedly, Shailesh Lodha filed the complaint in the first week of March this year. In his complaint, he has alleged non-payment of dues. Hindustan Times has claimed that Sailesh approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and initiated Corporate Insolvency Resolution under Section 9, as Asit Kumar Modi could not pay his debts. His case will be heard in the month of May. However, Sailesh refused to comment on the issue and told the news portal, “The matter is sub judice and sub judice, so I will not comment anything on it.”

TMKOC team responds to Shailesh Lodha’s complaint

While Asit Kumar Modi also refrained from commenting on the matter, TMKOC project head Sohil Ramani claimed that he had ‘never denied’ Shailesh Lodha his payments. He further alleged that Shailesh has not yet completed his paperwork due to which he has not been paid. Ramani also urged Shailesh to ‘just follow the regular procedure’. Shailesh Lodha has been like a family. We respected him when he left and on several occasions through email and telephone we have requested him to come to the office to sign all the necessary paperwork and collect his money.”

Shailesh Lodha used to play the character of Tarak Mehta in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He was a part of the show from the beginning. However, he left the show in April 2022. It was earlier reported that the actor was not very happy with his contract and felt that his dates were not properly utilized while shooting for the show. It was also said that Shailesh wants to explore more opportunities. Sachin Shroff was taken in the show in place of Lodha.
