In the last few years, it has rarely been seen that an Ajay Devgan film has flopped at the box office. Shaitan, released in the month of March, proved to be a hit. The film got a great response from the audience. But Ajay’s film Maidan is in bad shape at the box office.

The film had a slow start but gradually its box office collection started increasing. It seemed that Maidan was getting the benefit of mouth publicity. But by Monday, there was a huge decline in the film’s earnings. Meanwhile, the initial earnings figures for the sixth day have come out.

According to Sacknilk’s early trend report, ‘Maidan’ has collected only Rs 75 lakh till 6 pm on the sixth day of its release. With this, the total earning of ‘Maidan’ in 6 days has now become Rs 24.25 crore. However, these are not final figures. An increase can be seen in these till morning.

Looking at the collection of the film, it seems that it will have to struggle a lot to even meet its budget. Ajay’s ‘Maidaan’ was made at a cost of Rs 100 crore. Boney Kapoor has produced it. If Maidan’s earnings remain the same, then the film shows will soon be stopped.

In the film, Ajay played the role of a great football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. His work in the film is being appreciated a lot but the magic of his excellent acting could not work at the box office. Made in the direction of Amit Sharma, ‘Maidan’ has got 8.9 rating on IMDb.
