Abu Dhabi T10: List of pre-signed and retained players including Bolt, Yusuf and Rayudu released

Abu Dhabi. Ahead of the 2023 edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League, the player draft has been announced on Monday with the eight participating teams being Bangla Tigers, Chennai Braves, Deccan Gladiators, Delhi Bulls, Morrisville Samp Army, Northern Warriors, New York Warriors and New Zealand Warriors.

A total of 782 players from across the world were registered for this edition, including some of the biggest names in international cricket.

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi is among the list of icon stars who will take the field on Monday along with his compatriots Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Bangladesh batsman Tamim Iqbal and Sri Lanka’s Dasun Shanaka.

Players retained by the teams include former Indian superstars Ambati Rayudu and Yusuf Pathan. While Bangla Tigers have included explosive all-rounder Pathan, Delhi Bulls have always included Rayudu.

Speaking on competing in the upcoming edition of the Abu Dhabi T10, Pathan said, “The 10-over format is exciting and hence, I am always happy to be a part of the league. My aim is to entertain the fans and help my team win the trophy this season.” To help win.”

2022 title winners Deccan Gladiators have retained powerhouse Nicholas Pooran amid retentions in the new season. The left-handed batsman was the leading run-scorer last season. He scored 345 runs in 10 matches at an average of 49.29 and a tremendous strike rate of 234.69. Pooran also hit 25 sixes, the most by any player last season. Meanwhile, Chennai Braves retained captain Sikandar Raza.

Speaking on the upcoming draft, T10 Global Chairman Shazi Ul Mulk said, “Franchises have taken their first steps with smart player retention and direct signings. Some of the selections could be surprises, indicating that the teams already have There are some tricks.”
