AFI President Adille Sumariwalla received the award during a ceremony hosted by AAA. After receiving the award, AFI tweeted, “Great day for Indian athletics. AFI President Adille Sumariwalla received the award. Sumariwalla is in Bangkok to attend the Asian Athletics Council meeting. The Indian team left for the five-day Asian Athletics Championships from Delhi and Bengaluru on Saturday night. The championship begins on Wednesday in Bangkok.
