New Delhi . Star Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman Virat Kohli on Tuesday said that the team will come back strongly next season after a disappointing exit from IPL 2023. Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 104 off 52 helped Gujarat Titans beat RCB and knock them out of the tournament on Sunday.
The former Indian skipper, who has seven IPL hundreds to his credit, asked RCB to keep their morale high despite the defeat.
Kohli tweeted, this season had some good moments but unfortunately we missed the target. But we must keep our morale up. We are thankful to our fans for supporting us. Thanks also to the coach, the management, and my teammates, we aim to come back stronger.
On the other hand, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis, who is the Orange Cap holder for IPL 2023, thanked the fans for their support and wished other teams all the best for the playoffs.
Du Plessis wrote on Twitter, what a wonderful two months of IPLT20. Unfortunately the tournament is over for us. Thank you all for making it so special. My best wishes to the four teams that have qualified. Now it’s time to go home.
After losing their last league match, RCB finished sixth in IPL 2023 with 14 points.
