Indian Wells (USA). Carlos Alcaraz continued his dominance by defeating Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 6-2 in the final to claim his maiden Indian Wells title. The 19-year-old Spaniard, who did not drop a set in six Indian Wells matches, will return to world No. 1 in Monday’s ATP rankings following his trophy win.

He is the only player to win at least three Masters 1000 titles as a teenager, along with countryman Rafael Nadal, who won six titles before the age of 20.
Alcaraz hit 18 winners to five of Medvedev and won 10 of 13 net points in an all-action victory. The Spaniard also repeatedly found success with his patent drop shot, taking advantage of his opponent’s deep court positions.
