Archer, Butler and Malan lead England to a 59-run win over South Africa in the third ODI

Kimberly | Fast bowler Jofra Archer, returning to the field after a long time, surprised the batsmen with his bowling. He took 6/40 in 9.1 overs in the third ODI against South Africa. There, Butler scored his 11th ODI century. At the same time, white-ball specialists Jos Buttler and David Malan combined to lead England to victory in the third and final ODI against South Africa, although the hosts have won the series 2-1. England registered a 59-run win over South Africa on Wednesday night.

England posted a mammoth 346 for 7 in their 50 overs, with all-rounder Moeen Ali scoring 41 off 23 balls and Sam Curran and Adil Rashid contributing 11 runs off 5 balls, Rashid getting Chris Woakes (8 off remained unbeaten with 9 runs).

Pacer Lungi Ngidi was the best bowler for South Africa, taking four for 42 in 10 overs, while Marco Johnson took two for 53 in Wednesday night’s match at the Diamond Oval, Kimberley.

In reply, South Africa started well with captain Temba Bavum and Reeza Hendricks adding 49 runs for the first wicket before Chris Woakes dismissed Bavuma for 35 off 27 balls. Hendricks brought up his half-century and was dismissed for 52.

Archer sent back Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markham scored 39, caught by Moeen Ali off Archer. South Africa were at 158/4 during this period.
