The third medal for India came in the men’s coxless pair event. Indian pair Lekh Ram and Babu Lal Yadav won the bronze medal. The Indian pair won the bronze medal with a timing of 6:50:41. This was followed by another medal for India from the men’s cox 8 event. The Indian team of Neeraj, Naresh Kalwania, Nitish Kumar, Charanjit Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Bhim Singh, Punit Kumar, Ashish and Dhananjay Uttam Pandey won the silver medal by finishing second with a time of 05:43.01.
Shooter Ramita won another medal for India in the women’s 10 meter air rifle event. Ramita has won bronze medal for India in 10 meter air rifle.
Earlier in the morning, the Indian women’s 10m air rifle team of Mehuli Ghosh, Ramita and Ashi Chowksey won the country’s first medal in the Asian Games. In the individual qualification round, the women’s trio won the silver medal with a total score of 1886.0. After this, in rowing, India’s pair of Arjun Lal and Arvind Singh won the silver medal in men’s light weight double sculls with a time of 6:28:18.
