Asian Games: India’s biggest win against Pakistan in hockey, defeated 10-2

Beijing (Uttam Hindu News)-Indian hockey team defeated Pakistan 10-2 today in the Asian Games. This is India’s biggest victory against Pakistan. The previous highest score between the two teams was 9-2, which was achieved by India only.
For India, captain Harmanpreet Singh scored the maximum four goals while Varun Kumar scored two goals. Lalit Upadhyay, Sumit and Shamsher Singh also scored one goal each, for Pakistan MS Khan and Abdul Waheed Rana scored one goal each. India has scored 10 goals against Pakistan for the first time.
Earlier in the Asian Games, the Indian men’s squash team won the gold medal by defeating Pakistan 2-1 in the title match on Saturday. The team of Saurav Ghoshal, Mahesh Mangaonkar and Abhay Singh won the gold medal for India by defeating Pakistan 2-1 in a thrilling match at the Hangzhou Olympic Centre. Pakistan’s Iqbal Nasir started the match by defeating India’s Mahesh Mangaonkar 3-0 (11-8, 11-3, 11-2), but in the very next match, Indian player Saurav Ghoshal defeated Mohammad Asim Khan 3-0. (11-5, 11-1, 11-3) and gave India equality.
