That his two baggy green caps have been found. “Hello everyone, I am extremely happy and relieved to tell you all that my baggy greens have been found,” Warner said in a video on Instagram. He said, “Any cricketer knows how special that cap is and I will cherish it for the rest of my life.”
I am very grateful to everyone involved in finding it. He said, “The burden that has been on my shoulders for the last few days has been lifted, so I appreciate it.” Thanks to everyone involved. According to a statement from Cricket Australia, “The bag in which he was kept was found in the team hotel (in Sydney) containing all the belongings.”
However, how they got it is still a mystery. “Despite an extensive search and review of CCTV footage at multiple locations and efforts by multiple parties since Tuesday, it is not known how the missing bag ended up there,” CA said. Earlier this week, Warner’s bag, which contained Baggy Green, went missing while traveling from Melbourne to Sydney.
After this, Warner made an emotional appeal on social media to return his baggy green. The bag contained two caps as Warner lost his original baggy green in 2017 after which he was given a second cap. However, Warner’s wife later got his original cap from his Test debut in 2011. For his farewell Test, Warner wore the extra baggy green that the team keeps with him for emergencies.
