Mirpur. Bangladesh has announced a 15-member squad led by Liton Das for the one-off Test match against Afghanistan starting June 14. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said that Afghanistan will reach Bangladesh for the match on June 10 and five- The one-day match will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.
Wicket-keeper batsman Liton has captained Bangladesh in four ODIs, although it will be his first time leading the side in the longest format of the game. Bangladesh’s full-time Test captain Shakib Al Hasan could be out of action for up to six weeks after injuring his finger in the recent Test series against Ireland.
Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed returns to the squad after recovering from a side strain, while young batsman Shahadat Hossain and bowler Mushfiq Hasan have also been included in the squad. Both the talented players are yet to make their debut for Bangladesh.
