Basco Tudu, accused of murder of four people in Potka, East Singhbhum, found guilty, court will pronounce sentence on April 26

Jamshedpur, Kumar Anand: The court of ADJ-2 Abhash Verma on Friday convicted Basco Tudu, accused in the murder of four people (Thapa Tudu, Malti Tudu, Sonia Tudu, Ramesh Tudu) in Potka, East Singhbhum district. A hearing on sentencing point has been scheduled for April 26. This matter is of 20 January 2016.

13 people have testified
Eight years ago in 2016, four members of the Tudu family (Thapa Tudu, Malti Tudu, Sonia Tudu, Ramesh Tudu) were murdered in Potka of East Singhbhum district. In this case, the jailed accused Basco Tudu has been declared guilty. The court will hear the point of punishment on April 26. A total of 13 people including the research officer have testified in this case.

Four people were murdered by hitting them with a stick
8 years ago, on January 20, 2016, Basco Tudu killed Thapa Tudu by killing him with a tangi (axe) while he was defecating outside his house. After this, Basco Tudu also killed Malti Tudu, Sonia Tudu and Ramesh Tudu by hitting them with a stick. After the incident, Mohan Tudu of the family had filed a named FIR against the accused Basco Tudu at Potka police station. Then the police arrested the accused Basco Tudu and sent him to jail. Since then Basco Tudu is still in jail.

Appearance in court through video conferencing
During the hearing of the murder case of four people of Tudu family, accused Basco Tudu was connected to the court through video conferencing from Ghaghidih Central Jail. During the hearing in the court, the hanger seized from the accused was presented. Along with this, the post mortem report, in which ante bottom injury was mentioned, was also submitted. Apart from this, the investigation officer and all the witnesses had supported the case. On this basis the court declared the accused guilty.
