Control of Cricket in India has recently signed a deal with SBI Life, the insurance company of State Bank of India. Under which SBI Life will be BCCI’s partner in international and domestic cricket during the 2023-26 season. BCCI is also going to get a big benefit from this deal.
According to a report by Cricbuzz, the board will get huge financial benefits after this deal. SBI Life, one of the country’s largest insurance companies, will pay Rs 85 lakh per match to BCCI for the next three years. This amount is much more than the base price of Rs 75 lakh. This partnership deal with the insurance company has started from the first ODI match between India and Australia, which was played in Mohali on Friday.
The agreement with SBI Life was announced by the board on September 20. A total of 56 sports are included in this three-year agreement. In this way, the Indian Cricket Board will receive a revenue of Rs 47.6 crore under this agreement.
Announcing the agreement, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said, “We are delighted to welcome SBI Life as the official partner for the Board’s domestic and international seasons for three years. Which will start before the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
