BCCI releases central contract list of women cricketers, Richa and Jemima promoted

BCCI central contract: Young wicketkeepers Richa Ghosh and Jemima Rodrigues BCCI Has got promotion to B grade in central contract for 2022-23 season while Shikha Pandey and Tania Bhatia are out. The contract is from October to September but the BCCI announced it on Thursday. Explain that a player with A grade gets 50 lakhs apart from match fees, 30 lakhs for B and 10 lakhs in C category.
Three players including captain Harmanpreet in Grade A
The board has kept only captain Harmanpreet Kaur, batsman Smriti Mandhana and all-rounder Deepti Sharma in the A category. Spinner Rajeshwari Gaikwad has been put in B category. Leg-spinner Poonam Yadav has not got the contract, which was in the A category last time. She has not played for India since March 2022. Experienced fast bowler Shikha Pandey has also not got the contract. Fast bowler Renuka Thakur has got a B-category deal. The BCCI, which announced equal pay for women cricketers last year, has given central contracts to 17 women cricketers.
