BCCI strict regarding fitness of Indian players, issued special instructions to franchisees

New Delhi (Best Hindu News): Indian Premier League 2023 is to start from 31st March. Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given special instructions to all the franchises regarding the fitness of Indian contracted players. All the teams have been asked not to put too much burden on the players so that the players are ready for the upcoming World Test Championship and World Cup 2023. Let me tell you, many players of Team India have been injured in the last few times, after which there was a debate about the workload management of the players in the IPL.
According to media reports, these instructions have been given to all the franchisees on the zoom call meeting. The meeting was attended by physiotherapist Nitin Patel at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and team India’s strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai. Apart from this, BCCI is also worried about the 20 players selected for the upcoming World Cup 2023, they are hoping that none of these players get hurt during the IPL.
Mohammed Siraj (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Mohammed Shami (Gujarat Titans), Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav (Kolkata Knight Riders), Deepak Chahar (Chennai Super Kings), Kuldeep Yadav and Akshar Patel (Delhi Capitals), Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal ( Rajasthan Royals), and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik and Washington Sundar (Sunrisers Hyderabad) are being monitored. The NCA has already shared the workload monitoring report of each India player with the respective franchises.
